According to some Slovenian legends, when a lyntvern hits the ground with its tail, it produces an earthquake. The beech acorns cants the name of the community - acorns.
The coat of arms finally adopted is divided per fess wavy argent, in chief vert three beech acorns or and in base azure a lyntvern or. The flag consists of a blue square hoist part with three yellow acorns from the coat of arms and triband fly end of yellow-blue-yellow.
