[The FAME - Flag and Arms of the Modern Era]

The FAME is a site devoted to the systematic and scientific study of flags and coats of arms. Such symbols often bear strong political and other messages. Inclusion of those symbols here does not mean that the author supports or approves of the ideas they may stand for.

The coat of arms of Pale-Praca is azure a bend argent between two triangles white and a muller or over a bend wavy white set in a shield shaped crowned golden cartouche. The shield design emanates the presentation of arms from the Fojnica Armorial. The silver bend represent a sword and the main road M-5 passing through the municipality, the two triangles the dominating peaks of Klek and Crni Vrh, the wavy line the river Praca and the star the position of the town of Praca on it. The flag is a green over white bicolour with the coat of arms in the centre.
The central coat of arms clearly described as blue in the documents, is sometimes used coloured tan, and flags with such arms were recorded as well.

Adopted: 17th November 2003

"Heraldika bosanskohercegovackih opština i gradova", Populari institut, 2011.

The coat of arms of Foca-Ustikolina is vert a dome ensigned with three corn ears, in chief two wavy lines and in base two irregular wavy stripes all argent. Although the descision clearly describes three lines in the chief, the drawings used show only two. The dome is that of Turhan Emin-Beg's mosque, claimed to be the first mosque erected in Bosnia and Herzegovina, entirely desctroyed by Serbs in 1990's. The wavy lines represent the Drina river, the stalks the corn production and processing in the municipality, and the two wavy stripes in the base stand for the ancient caravan routes and modern roads passing though. The flag is green over white over red tricolour with the coat of arms in its centre.
